Lodgco Canopy Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Grand Rapids, MI property. This part-time role (approx.

2 days per week) focuses on evenings, preventative care, and timely repairs to keep guest spaces safe and comfortable. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to work orders, inspect equipment, paint, replace fixtures, and support the General Manager and Regional Maintenance Manager on projects.

Qualifications

• Some maintenance experience preferred.
• Hotel maintenance knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and detail orientation.

We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our property running smoothly with top-notch preventative care and upkeep. This is a part-time role (approx. 2 days/week) primarily working evenings. If you take pride in creating a comfortable and safe environment for guests, we want to hear from you!

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, fixtures, property, and structures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Respond to maintenance work orders by guests, employees, and supervisors
• Maintain, repair, and overhaul equipment and property. Report problems to General Manager
• Paint walls, ceilings, fixtures, building, and equipment to prevent corrosion
• Hang wall fixtures, replace light bulbs and filters, and shampoo carpets
• Make local deliveries and pick-ups
• Walk the property—interior and exterior, every morning and evening
• Maintain parking lot, pool, and grounds area according to established quality standards
• Conduct preventative maintenance according to preventative maintenance log schedule
• Work in accordance with General Manager and Regional Maintenance Manager to set up and complete special and on-going projects and maintains a preventative maintenance program
• Conduct daily inspections of hotel and determine maintenance needs
• Maintain all sidewalks and keep them clean and clear of debris and/or snow and ice
• Responsible for following key control policies, practices, and procedures
• Keep current on all information pertaining to any equipment or machinery on property
• Compliance with OSHA standards to provide a safe work environment
