Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Hilton Garden Inn Laramie in Wyoming. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, quick response to repair requests, and keeping guest areas and facilities in excellent condition.

This part-time position offers an inclusive workplace with benefits and opportunities for growth. Candidates should have 2+ years in hotel maintenance, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two years in a hotel maintenance position preferred.
• One year of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical, or technical disciplines.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms.
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner.
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
