Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Laramie, WY, seeks an energetic Maintenance Engineer/Shuttle Driver to manage hotel maintenance and operate the shuttle service as needed.

Applicants should have 2–3 years in hotel maintenance with HVAC/plumbing/electrical skills; driving requires passing a MVR check. Benefits include health plans, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and more.

Responsibilities

• Oversees property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms.
• Performs preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Checks fixtures, lighting, and signs; maintains spare parts inventory.
• Responds to maintenance orders promptly and completes work orders.
• Completes daily rounds; identifies and reports issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned; passes MVR to drive shuttle.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned
• Must pass MVR Background to be able to drive our shuttle

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
