Laitram Machine Shop, L.L.C. is seeking a Part-Time Entry-Level Machinist Apprentice in Harahan, Louisiana. This hands-on role offers exposure to precision machining in a world-class manufacturing environment, with a potential pathway to full-time employment as you progress.

You will work alongside experienced machinists, gain real-world experience, and develop foundational skills for Machinist I–IV, CNC programming, quality, or production leadership tracks as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a machining program (trade school or college).
• Able to work 1–20 hours per week.
• Self-managed and reliable; follows procedures.
• Basic math and ability to read blueprints is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure raw material and monitor machining operations.
• Inspect finished parts using basic inspection methods.
• Accurately perform production transactions and related paperwork.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
