Job summary

WSU Tech is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Machining Technology program to provide part-time instructional support in machining, including manual and CNC processes. The role involves teaching theory and hands-on techniques to help students build industry-ready skills.

Responsibilities include delivering lectures, updating course materials to industry standards, evaluating student performance, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or higher from a nationally or regionally accredited institution (preferred).
  • Industry experience in machining technology including CNC and manual machining, 4+ years (preferred).
  • Prior teaching or training experience in technical or adult education (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, safety practices, and machine tool operation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures and hands-on instruction in machining technology courses.
  • Assist in curriculum development and update course materials according to industry standards.
  • Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of machining tools and equipment during lab sessions.
  • Collaborate with full-time faculty and industry partners to maintain course relevance.
  • Adhere to college policies and contribute to a positive learning environment.
