Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College is recruiting Part-Time Faculty to teach machining, CNC, milling, turning courses in the Department of Machining. The college recruits from all backgrounds for temporary, pool-based assignments, with opportunities for in-person, online, or hybrid delivery.

Part-Time Faculty teach content, assess learning, and stay current in their field, referring students to college resources.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent or a level of credentialing/mastery commensurate with the position description.
• The desire to work with students, faculty, and staff from many different backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach course content in machining, CNC, milling, and turning.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
• Stay current in the teaching field and use current technology.
• Actively refer students to supportive college resources.
• Complete professional development and uphold ethical standards.
• Maintain appropriate standards of ethics and professional conduct.
• Support department goals under the supervision of the Department Chair.
