Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting Part-Time Faculty to teach courses in computer science, cybersecurity, or computer engineering. Opportunities are for in-person, online, or hybrid formats as available. This pool is for temporary PT faculty assignments with potential future openings.

Under the Department Chair, instructors will teach content, assess learning, use current technology, and engage in professional development. TMCC values diverse backgrounds and student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field OR Bachelor’s with 1 year professional experience as a computer scientist or software engineer.
• Desire to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to professional development and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Teach course content and assess student learning under supervision.
• Stay current in the teaching field and use current technology.
• Refer students to supportive college resources and participate in development workshops.
• Maintain appropriate standards of ethics and professional conduct.
