Job summary

Mercor seeks 3D artists and video editors in New York to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real 3D and video production workflows on your Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

This part-time role runs about 10–20 hours weekly, with an immediate start and a structured, low-pressure environment. A reel or portfolio is welcome, and candidates should be pursuing or have completed Masters in film, animation, or digital media, or have 2-3 years

Qualifications

• Must own a MacBook/Mac with Apple Silicon or Intel and macOS 15+
• Proficiency with listed 3D and video tools (Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, FCP, Premiere, DaVinci, After Effects)
• 2-3 years experience or enrolled in Masters program
• Portfolio or reel encouraged
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to clearly explain creative decisions while you work

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real 3D and video editing tasks on Mac
• Create high-quality training data for advanced AI models
• Maintain a structured, low-pressure internship/consulting-style environment
• Immediate start preferred
