Job summary

The University of Cincinnati College of Law seeks experienced practitioners to teach a Mergers & Acquisitions course on a part‑time basis for Spring 2027. Responsibilities include course design, delivery of material, and assessment under ABA standards.

Adjunct professors are non‑tenure/tenure‑track, teaching specific courses with flexibility in scheduling. Applications are reviewed continually; candidates with JD and related practice experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Hold the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Five years post‑J.D. work experience in legal practice or related field.
• Communicate effectively.
• Maintain professional composure and demeanor; promote UC College of Law values.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the course, including syllabus, materials, and assessments.
• Provide a conducive classroom environment and effective teaching methods.
• Teach the assigned course(s) and manage attendance and progress.
• Use Canvas for postings and communications with students.
• Provide timely feedback on submitted work and exams.
• Hold office hours for student guidance and progress review.
• Coordinate with Administration to schedule make‑up classes if needed.
• Grade exams and assessments per College/University rules.
• Review course evaluations to improve teaching quality.
• Adhere to UC and College of Law policies.
• Complete all employment documentation and trainings.
