Job summary

The University of Cincinnati College of Law seeks a part-time Family Law instructor to teach a Spring 2027 course to JD students. The course will cover marriage, separation, divorce, dissolution, alimony, and child custody, emphasizing the relationship between law and the family.

Minimum qualifications include a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited school and relevant legal experience. Duties include syllabus design, teaching, grading, and advising students, with adjunct appointments renewed

Qualifications

J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school or equivalent.
Five years post-J.D. work experience in legal practice or a related field, though exceptions may be made if paired with a co-teacher with minimum experience.
Strong communication skills and professional composure.
Ability to promote the College's vision and values.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver the Family Law course, including syllabus, materials, and assessments.
Provide a conducive learning environment and fair instruction.
Teach the assigned course using appropriate pedagogical methods.
Manage attendance and refer students when needed.
