Job summary

Northeast College Prep is seeking dependable, positive, and student-centered Lunch and Recess Supervisors to help create a safe, structured, and enjoyable environment for students during lunch and recess. This part‑time role is ideal for college students, parents or caregivers seeking school-day hours. Two daily shifts are offered: 10:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.

and 10:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. Starting pay is $16.37 per hour, with higher wages possible based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work positively with elementary and middle school students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch and recess to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful environment.
• Reinforce the school's PREP expectations: Pride, Responsibility, Excellence, and Perseverance.
• Build positive relationships with students while encouraging respectful behavior and inclusive play.
• Help students resolve minor conflicts and communicate concerns to school staff when needed.
• Monitor student safety and respond appropriately to accidents or emergencies.
• Assist with lunchroom and recess routines, including transitions and indoor recess as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
