Job summary

Southeast Application Consortium is seeking a Recess/Lunch Supervisor for a partner district. The role focuses on keeping students safe and engaged during lunch and recess, indoors and outdoors, while promoting positive interactions and inclusive behavior.

The supervisor will monitor student activity, reinforce district equity policies, and report concerns to staff. Applicants should be at least 18, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and able to follow directions and work independently.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to actively supervise students and recognize safety concerns.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment regarding student safety and well-being.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active supervision of students in the cafeteria, playground, and other designated areas.
• Encourage respectful behavior, positive peer relationships, and inclusive interactions among all students.
• Support smooth, safe, and orderly transitions between lunch, recess, and instructional time.
• Address minor behavioral concerns appropriately and communicate significant safety or behavior issues to designated staff.
• Reinforce school rules, routines, and expectations consistently and fairly.
