Job summary

Eliot Elementary School in Needham, MA, is seeking a warm, energetic part-time Office Assistant who also supports students at lunch and recess for the 2026-27 school year. The role runs five days a week, 10:30 a.m.

to 1:45 p.m., with a benefits-eligible status and a supportive school environment. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and experience working with children, with CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Previous experience supervising or working with children in active, group settings is highly preferred.
• Situational awareness with a proactive approach to monitoring student behavior in unstructured environments to ensure safety.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Duties will include: Support office staff by answering phones and assisting with receptionist tasks.
• Supervises student lunch and recess, with support from additional staff members.
• Other duties as assigned.
