Job summary

ProMedica’s Defiance Regional Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse in a part-time capacity within the Specialty Clinic. You will care for patients under the supervision of RNs, physicians, and advanced practice nurses, contributing to care plans and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Current LPN license in state of employment.
• BLS certification; IV therapy certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process including observation, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct nursing care under supervision of RNs and physicians.
• Contributes to the plan of care with input from patient and family.
• Performs patient data collection and documentation in EMR.
• Maintains safety and infection control during patient care.
• Assists in IV management as ordered by provider.
• Participates in staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
