Job summary

ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and physicians. You will contribute to care planning, document patient progress in the EMR, and assist with IV management and medications as permitted by licensure.

You will work in a collaborative team, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and engage in ongoing staff development and training activities within a 24-hour/weekly schedule at the Defiance

Qualifications

• Graduate of an LPN program and eligible for licensure in the state of employment.
• Current, unencumbered LPN license in the state where you will work.
• BLS certification; IV Therapy certification as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision of RN or physician.
• Contribute to the patient care plan and document progress in EMR.
• Assist with IV management and medication administration per licensure.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the care team.
• Participate in safety, infection control, and performance improvement activities.
• Support orientation and training of new staff and use of equipment.
