Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston, Wisconsin is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support residents at Fair View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Part-time shifts are available: 1) PM shift 2:00pm–10:30pm, 64 hours per pay period; 2) Day shift 6:00am–2:30pm, 32 hours per pay period.

Weekend rotation applies with shift differentials. Under supervision of a registered nurse and the director of nursing, the LPN will participate in planning and implementing nursing care, documenting

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN license to practice in the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in English (spoken and written).
• Treats patients with courtesy and respect.
• Keeps patient information confidential.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and individualized patient care under supervision.
• Assists in health teaching for residents and families.
• Contributes to nursing care plans and documentation.
• Participates in team conferences and shares knowledge.
• Administers and records medications per policy for LPNs.
• Performs advanced nursing tasks as competence increases.
• Participates in emergency care when needed.
• Communicates with team leader about patient status.
• Records information concisely and accurately.
• Uses appropriate communication channels within the team.
• Participates in nursing department committees as required.
• Responds promptly to resident call lights and requests.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
