Job summary

MediLodge of Portage is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care to residents and supervise clinical staff.

Graduate of an accredited LPN program with a valid Michigan license and CPR; one year nursing experience preferred. Responsibilities include documenting conditions, implementing orders, administering medications, and coordinating care with therapy and other departments.

Qualifications

• LPN/LVN license in the state of employment.
• 1 year nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs.
• Implements physicians’ orders accurately and promptly.
• Assigns nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Supervises and evaluates junior staff and CNAs.
• Administers medications and treatments and documents as required by rules and regulations.
• Coordinates nursing care with other departments and therapy services.
