Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN school of nursing.
• Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• One year experience in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Implements physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
• Assigns nursing care to team members per resident needs and qualifications.
• Supervises and evaluates junior staff and CNAs.
• Administers medications and performs treatments with proper documentation.
• Participates in orientation and ongoing training for staff.
• Ensures supplies are used efficiently and equipment is safe.
• Reports pertinent observations and resident reactions.
• Coordinates nursing care with therapy or procedure departments.
• Interviews applicants and participates in staff counseling and discipline as allowed.
