Job summary

Join the State of Ohio as a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse at the Southwest Ohio Developmental Center in Batavia. You will administer medications and treatments under the direction of an RN and physician, document patient responses, and help ensure high-quality nursing care for residents.

You will participate in shift changes, monitor health conditions, and support daily living activities while coordinating with the RN and Residential Care Supervisor on health plans and staff orientation.

Qualifications

• License to practice nursing as an LPN issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing and proof of completion of a medication administration course.
• Licensed Practical Nurses who administer dialysis must possess IV Therapy certification.
• Demonstrated ability to provide skilled nursing care and follow physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments prescribed by the physician; provide direct nursing care and support in residents' daily activities.
• Transcribe physician orders, monitor resident conditions, document responses and maintain medication records.
• Coordinate with RN and Residential Care Supervisor for health assessments, IPPs, and staffing needs.
