Job summary

Nexstar Media Group's KTLA is seeking a part-time Material Manager to support live news production in Los Angeles. You will assist producers, writers and the director with prep and coordination of production elements for live broadcasts.

The role requires hands-on editing support, content tracking, and familiarity with newsroom systems (ENPS, Bit Central, Premiere). On-site work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Training/Certification in Communications, TV Production, or equivalent experience.
• Two+ years in live News production.
• Strong teamwork and positive communication.
• Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Maintains composure in dynamic environments.
• Knowledge of production systems and workflows.
• Experience training others on production workflows.
• Proficient with ENPS, Bit Central, Premiere, Ross Xpression, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist producers, writers, and director with live newscast prep.
• Coordinate edited video content for live newscasts; track playout.
• Communicate content status with news producers and reporters.
• Provide desktop editing support (Premiere) for bumps and teases.
• Track and communicate feed schedules to writers and producers.
• QA news feed video and edited content before broadcast.
• Manage news video archive and respond to archival requests.
• Cross-train to relieve Associate Director during breaks.
• Generate End of Shift Report updating content and server status.
• Provide production support for News and Special Events.
