Nexstar Media Group Inc. is seeking a Part-time Material Manager in Los Angeles to support live news production. You will assist Producers, Writers, and Directors with prep and coordination of elements for live broadcasts, and prep edited video content for immediate use in newscasts.

Responsibilities include QA of news feeds, managing the video archive, and providing desktop editing support with Premiere. Requires 2+ years in live news and ability to train others.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in live news production.
• Ability to train others on production workflow.
• Strong planning, teamwork, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist News Producers, Writers, and Directors with prep and coordination of production elements for live newscasts.
• Coordinate and prep edited video content for live newscasts and track server playout status.
• Provide desktop editing support (Adobe Premiere) for News bumps and teases.
• Track and communicate News feed schedules to writers and producers.
• Perform quality analysis (QA) of News feed video and edited content prior to broadcast.
• Generate End of Shift Report (EOS) updating status of edited content and server database.
• Cross-training: develop basic skill sets to capably provide Associate Director relief for meal breaks, vacation, and sick calls.
