Applitrack is seeking a Family Engagement Coordinator (Literacy Focus) to bridge classroom instruction and home support across five district schools. This 3-year, grant-funded role focuses on immediate literacy assistance for families while building durable engagement systems that survive the grant period.

The role emphasizes designing repeatable engagement frameworks, training staff, and translating literacy curricula into practical at-home activities for parents.

Qualifications

• Ability to build processes, toolkits, and organizational structures from the ground up.
• Ability to translate educational terminology and data into clear information for families.
• Highly organized and self-directed; manage time across multiple sites.
• Willingness to learn district literacy curricula and state mandates quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design repeatable family engagement frameworks, communication templates, and workflows for school buildings.
• Create accessible literacy toolkits and resources for families.
• Train school staff and parent volunteers to sustain outreach post-grant.
• Spend regular time in K-12 classrooms to understand current literacy instruction.
• Translate classroom curricula into actionable at-home strategies for parents.
• Attend building-level meetings, professional development, and literacy training to stay aligned with district goals.
• Manage and balance weekly schedule allocations across 5 distinct school buildings.
• Work collaboratively with other district, parent facing support staff.
• Educate parents on modern literacy instructional methods and student reading data.
• Guide families through state legislative mandates, specifically Dyslexia Screenings and RIMPs.
• Facilitate workshops and community spaces that demystify student reading progress.
