Qualifications

• Demonstrated strength in Reading Comprehension and Literacy, with the ability to support diverse learners across skill levels.
• Experience working with Lower School students, including understanding of child development and classroom dynamics.
• Proven ability to design and implement Reading Intervention strategies and provide individualized Tutoring support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Reading/Literacy, or a related field; advanced training or certification in reading specialization is preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based literacy instruction, assessment tools, and progress-monitoring practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching and support for learners from varied backgrounds and learning profiles.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, use educational technology, and adapt instruction based on data and student needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and providing direct support and instruction to students with identified needs
• Working to strategically support the general education faculty through the implementation of each enrolled student’s Accommodation Plan
• Communicating with colleagues and families informally and formally throughout the year
• Maintaining clear documentation of interventions
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
