Job summary

City of Apple Valley liquor store is seeking a part-time clerk to deliver friendly customer service, operate the POS system, stock liquor and beer, and maintain clean displays in a professional manner.

The role reports to the Liquor Store Manager and may take direction from on-duty supervisors; requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, must be 21+, strong math and money handling, excellent communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Basic knowledge of retail sales and money handling.
• Ability to interact positively with the public regularly.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check identification to determine eligibility to purchase liquor.
• Wait on customers, find items, recommend and sell merchandise, and carry merchandise to vehicles.
• Operate POS system, ring up sales, take payments, and give change.
• Stock, rotate, and display liquor merchandise and beer; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Clean store and displays; maintain orderly shelves and coolers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
