Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a part-time Linen Attendant to ensure timely linen supply for patient areas. You will receive and process linen orders, restock exchanges, and transport items while maintaining infection control standards.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle lifting and moving heavy items. Experience with sewing machines is a plus, and there is a weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred but not a required.
• Physical demands: able to lift/carry up to 25–70 pounds and stand/walk/bend; vision and hearing adequate.
• Experience with sewing machine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fills Linen Orders and maintains par levels.
• Checks linen stocks and delivers replacements.
• Transports soiled linen carts and ensures proper infection control.
• Monitors linen usage data and creates cost accounting records.
• Cleans linen carts and stock areas to maintain infection control.
