Job summary

River Falls Senior Living is seeking a reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team in a part-time role. Expect a 28-hour week with a 10:00 AM-6:30 PM schedule, every other weekend, and a consistent daytime shift.

You will prepare meals for assisted living residents, follow standardized recipes, and work with dietary needs to deliver meals on time and with care.

Qualifications

• Experience as Line Cook or similar kitchen role.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Knowledge of recipes and special diets/dietary requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes.
• Prepare food according to special diets and dietary requirements.
• Coordinate food preparation with scheduled meal times.
• Ensure meals are properly prepared, portioned, and presented.
• Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and food production standards.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Work closely with the kitchen and dining team to ensure meals are served on time.
• Help provide a positive dining experience for residents.

River Falls Senior Living is looking for a reliable, experienced, and team-oriented Line Cook to join our kitchen team!

As a Line Cook, you'll prepare and serve meals for our assisted living residents while helping create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. This is a great opportunity for a cook who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team.

Schedule

• Part-time - approximately 28 hours per week
• 10:00 AM-6:30 PM
• Every other weekend
• Consistent daytime schedule - no late-night shifts

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes
• Prepare food according to special diets and dietary requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Line Cook, Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar kitchen position
• Current ServSafe certification
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and commercial kitchen equipment
• Ability to follow recipes and special diet instructions accurately
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
