Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City is seeking a Lighting Supervisor for a part‑time, hourly role. You will oversee lighting and electrical needs for BAC presentations and rentals, operating the lighting console and preparing necessary show paperwork and equipment.

The ideal candidate has supervisory theater experience, is highly organized, and proficient with ETC consoles, Vectorworks, and Lightwright. The position requires physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work at height.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional theater venues and supervisory roles.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Proficiency with ETC Lighting consoles and networked systems, Vectorworks, Lightwright, basic Rigging, basic carpentry.
• Willingness to expand expertise in other specialty skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., work on ladders, Genie lifts, catwalks, and galleries up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all lighting and electrical needs for BAC presentations and rentals.
• Operate and program the lighting console.
• Prepare lighting information, paperwork, equipment and supplies for productions.
• Maintain and repair BAC equipment and infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for artists and rental clients.
