Job summary

The City of Tolleson is seeking part-time lifeguards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment at City aquatic facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring activities, enforcing rules, and performing water rescues, CPR, first aid, and other lifesaving procedures. You will assist with facility operations, cleaning, and basic records.

Applicants should have an American Red Cross and/or StarGuard Lifeguard Elite certification, CPR/AED, First Aid, and pass a skills test at hire. EOE/M/F/D/V.

Qualifications

• Previous lifeguard or aquatics experience preferred but not required.
• Must have current American Red Cross and/or StarGuard Lifeguard Elite certification, Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/AED, and First Aid.
• Pass required skills test at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aquatic activities to ensure patron safety.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures with courtesy and professionalism.
• Provide excellent customer service and information to patrons.
• Assist with facility operations, including cleaning and basic recordkeeping.
• Complete accident or incident reports as needed.
