Job summary

The League for People with Disabilities is seeking a dependable Part-Time/PRN Lifeguard to supervise the Wellness Center aquatic facility and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all participants.

Responsibilities include monitoring activities, responding to emergencies, enforcing safety rules, and supporting an inclusive experience for individuals with varying abilities while maintaining dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized safety organization.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification as required by The League.
• Successful completion of onboarding, safety, emergency response, and compliance training.
• Ability to stay alert, calm, and professional in emergencies.
• Strong communication with individuals with varying needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous surveillance of assigned aquatic areas.
• Respond to emergencies, perform rescues, and provide first aid as certified.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures with respect.
• Document safety checks and report hazards promptly.
• Open/close aquatic areas and monitor facility conditions.
• Support participant inclusion and provide respectful service.
