Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED in English or current PSJA ISD high school student.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to attain within 7 days of hire.
• Strong swimmer and responsive in emergencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and enforce pool rules to ensure safety.
• Observe swimmers for hazards and respond to incidents promptly.
• Rescue swimmers if needed and administer first aid; call 911 for serious cases.
• Maintain professional appearance and assist Head Lifeguard as required.
• Support district safety and operations while remaining adaptable.
