Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is hiring a Daytime Lifeguard for the Parkview Family YMCA in Fort Wayne, IN. This part-time role focuses on water safety, pool supervision, and friendly service to members and guests.

You’ll maintain vigilance, enforce rules, and ensure clean, safe indoor pool areas while enjoying YMCA perks such as free individual membership, discounted programs, and flexible scheduling to fit your life.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old with at least two years of High School or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work weekday and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Serve: Maintain constant and diligent surveillance of the pool at all times and respond to emergencies.
• Care: Ensure safe, clean, and secure conditions for the indoor pool and surrounding areas.
• Lead: Enforce all aquatics rules and policies on a fair and consistent basis.
