Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools is seeking a lifeguard for the Veterans Memorial Aquatics Center in Thornton, CO. This 0.45 FTE, 5-19 hour per week, non-benefited position supports events and activities with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include ensuring swimmer safety, executing emergency procedures, and performing facility maintenance. Prerequisites include ARC Lifeguard and CPR/AED, background check, and high school diploma or current enrollment.

Qualifications

• Must be currently in high school or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 15 years old.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of athletes, coaches, participants and spectators; observe swimmers and spectator areas at all times and respond to emergencies.
• Perform daily facility checks on equipment and assist with cleaning of pool and pump room; may help with snow removal as needed.
• Set up and tear down events and practices (moving bulkheads, lane lines, timing system, computers, tables, chairs, platforms).
• Attend mandatory monthly staff trainings or meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
