Job summary

West Haven Community House in West Haven, CT is seeking a part-time Life Skills Coach to support adults in our DDS-funded Day program. The role requires caring, reliable staff who can adapt to a shifting schedule and work as part of a team to assist with daily living skills, socialization, and goal achievement.

Shift options include weekend and evening hours, with duties emphasized ensuring a safe, healthy environment and adherence to program requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; 2 years of related experience with adults with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Must be 21 years old or older; CPR/First Aid certification required prior to hire.
• Valid CT Driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to obtain approval from vehicle company.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in ADL, socialization, and safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and stay on shift until relieved by supervisor.
• Flex daily schedule to meet needs of individuals served and support goal achievement.
