Job summary

Ivy Tech Evansville seeks a Part-time Lab Technician to support the Life Sciences department on the Evansville, IN campus. In-person role with 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, at $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include lab prep, inventory management, MSDS maintenance, safety compliance, and assisting with ordering. Requires high school diploma or GED; Associate's Degree in Science preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills required.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely in a lab.
• Familiar with science labs and lab safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare labs by setting out equipment, models, and supplies.
• Prepare materials for labs and breakdown labs; cleanup as needed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and MSDS data sheets; follow OSHA guidelines.
• Unpack and check-in orders; assist with ordering.
• Clean lab equipment and models; assist lab manager with tasks.
