Job summary

AlmaVia of San Francisco is seeking a Life Enrichment Specialist to design and deliver engaging therapeutic programs for older adults in a memory care community. You will collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director and care staff to coordinate events, observe resident engagement, and update leadership on progress.

Requirements include a Creative Arts Therapist credential (or eligibility within one year), at least one year of experience with older adults (including dementia), and proficiency

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Registered or Board-Certified Creative Arts Therapist, or eligible to obtain certification within one year of hire.
• At least one year of experience conducting therapeutic activity groups with older adults, including individuals with dementia.
• Experience planning and delivering therapeutic programs in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Designs and delivers engaging therapeutic programs based on assessed needs of residents.
• Collaborates with Life Enrichment Director and care staff to coordinate events and activities.
• Observes and documents changes in resident engagement and communicates updates to leadership.
• Maintains monthly activity calendars and builds community partnerships.
• Mentors interns and leads staff training on therapeutic programming.
