Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field or four years of technical clerical office work.
• Experience in customer service preferred; familiarity with DMV processes.
• Typing at least 50 wpm with minimal errors.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants to determine license or ID needs and reviews documents.
• Advises applicants on reasons for denial and waiver procedures.
• Evaluates medical, physical, or mental information for waivers.
• Conducts vehicle safety inspections and administers tests.
• Maintains driver’s license records and assists Legal Division as needed.
• Responds to inquiries and informs on laws and procedures.
• Handles hearings on suspensions, revocations, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
