PriorityPet Urgent Care of Germantown is seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician to join our urgent care team in Germantown, TN. The role focuses on high-quality veterinary care during weekend shifts, with opportunities for hands-on training in a modern facility.

The successful candidate will perform animal restraint, triage, lab work, imaging, and anesthesia management, while communicating treatment plans to clients and supporting hospital operations. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician with an active license required.
• 1+ year professional experience preferred but not required.
• Availability to work weekends is a requirement for this position.
• Excellent client communication and medical record management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations.
• Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques.
• Proficiency in sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens.
• Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture.
• Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring.

Pet accidents, illnesses, and injuries are all unfortunate and seem to always happen at the worst of times when primary care veterinarians are either closed or too busy to see the pet. For these reasons, we are excited to announce that our new Priority Pet Urgent Care of Germantown is now open! We are available for urgent care pet needs 7 days a week from 2pm - 10pm.

We're looking to hire a passionate and motivated veterinary assistant to ensure the highest quality of medicine is provided. Our new building and state of the art equipment will provide our teams the space and tools they'll need to deliver the best in service and medicine for our community!

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

We're Looking For:

• A Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician with an active license required, 1+ year professional experience preferred but not required
• Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
• Availability to work weekends is a requirement for this position.

Pay Range: $19 - $22/hr depending on experience level
