Job summary

Allied Universal, Jamaica, NY, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Licensed Patrol Driver to protect riders and staff at a busy transit location. You will perform unarmed patrols, assist passengers, and uphold site-specific policies while maintaining a professional, calm presence.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling on Tue/Fri/Sat 8am-4pm, mandatory NY license and security experience, plus a valid driver's license for driving duties.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license per Allied Universal policy requirements.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, vehicle areas, platforms, entrances, perimeters, and other assigned locations.
• Respond to incidents, disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and property damage.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate personnel.
