Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with established facility procedures; direct visitors to appropriate service areas and provide clear information regarding site rules.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and visitor or access records in accordance with site requirements.
