Job summary

The Library Shop at The New York Public Library is seeking a Part-Time Shop Stock Associate to assist in merchandise replenishment and inventory control. Located in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, the role supports the retail team in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to lift up to 40 lbs, work 15-25 hours weekly with Saturdays required, and report to the Shop Manager. A High School Diploma and 1 year receiving experience are preferred.

• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock levels on floor and back stock; transport merchandise from Receiving Area.
• Replenish and reset merchandise per visual standards.
• Keep stock organized so items are easy to locate.
• Replenish shop packaging and supplies as needed.
• Inform the manager of inventory needs.
• Assist the team as needed.
• Adhere to shop policies and procedures.
• Perform related duties as required.
