Qualifications

• Must have a MAVworks financial aid award to work at the library.
• Eligible for Work-Study as a Research Help Desk assistant.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet all patrons who approach the Research Help Desk.
• Answer basic questions regarding library and university information.
• Assist patrons in finding items in the building.
• Refer questions to Librarian on duty as needed.
• Help with hourly patron counts and building walk-throughs.
• Staff the virtual reference (chat) service and refer questions to Librarians.
• Assist with Interlibrary Loan processes as needed.
• Assist librarians with events and other duties as assigned.
