Job summary

Knox County Cedar Bluff Branch Library is seeking a part-time Desk Assistant/Page to support library patrons with courteous service and reliable assistance. You will shelve materials, manage circulation in the internal database, and guide patrons in locating resources using the catalog.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree preferred. Regular attendance, basic computer skills, and teamwork are essential in a busy library environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Shelving and organize library materials.
• Process circulation in the internal database.
• Assist patrons with the public access catalog and locating materials.
• Fill patron requests and manage material retrieval.
• Answer phone calls and emails from the public.
• Monitor shelves for correct shelving of materials.
• Respond to emergencies as directed by supervisors.
• Perform other duties as required.
