Job summary

Villa Rica Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to support the Circulation Desk and the Children’s Room, creating an inviting environment for families and readers.

Responsibilities include helping patrons check out materials, answering tech questions, assisting with programs, and maintaining displays while following library policies. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, enjoys helping diverse communities, and can work weekday evenings and Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: experience with children or libraries.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to assist with computer questions.
• Ability to create and display materials.

Responsibilities

• Check out materials at circulation desk.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Answer computer and tech questions.
• Help patrons find materials, programs, services.
• Shelve and retrieve materials.
• Maintain Children's Room environment.
• Create programs and displays.

• Follow policies.
