Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a part-time Library Aide for Brecht Elementary and Bucher Elementary during the school term. The role supports the library, enabling the Librarian to teach and collaborate with teachers while handling administrative duties and student monitoring.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED and a valid drivers license, with a preference for candidates who have educational child care experience and solid technology skills. Expect a stable schedule with no evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide office support for the Library to ensure an organized and functional library conducive to an integrated instructional program for students.
• Free up the Librarian to teach, work with teachers and oversee administrative duties.
• Monitor all students entering and leaving the library, circulation of materials, ordering and processing of new materials, and help students and teachers find materials.
• Work with other department members to meet department goals in support of the Manheim Township mission to provide a social and educational environment for students.
