Job summary

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is seeking a Library Aide I at the Mesquite Library to assist with lending, shelving, and customer service. You will register patrons, help with accounts, and teach users how to access resources and programs.

Qualifications

• Completion of tenth (10th) grade is required.
• Preferred: 6 months of customer service experience.
• Ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and reshelves returned books and materials.
• Assists customers with check-out/check-in and uses ILS.
• Registers new customers and issues library cards.
• Answers routine questions and helps users locate materials.
• Supports library programs and handles routine clerical tasks.
