Leasing Consultant

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for all aspects of leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations for a property.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Property leasing and administration
  • Regular/daily onsite attendance is required
  • Show, lease, and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour the community, and sign a lease
  • Conduct all functions necessary to close a lease, including making appointments, generating new leads, conducting tours, maintaining model units, and following up as needed
  • Complete all leasing paperwork before move‑in
  • Assist with lease audits, unit walks, and turn‑over processes
  • Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data, responding to prospect leads within 24 hours
  • Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and work to achieve and exceed leasing goals
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed
  • Handle resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure resident satisfaction
  • Assist in developing and implementing resident retention programs (e.g., resident functions, special promotions, monthly newsletters)
  • Contribute to the general upkeep and cleaning of the office, common areas, and model units
  • Assist in the implementation of the annual marketing plan and outreach efforts
  • Review and assist in completing market surveys/analysis continually to generate ideas and formulate plans
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property, competition, and market conditions; complete weekly market survey reports
  • Manage excellent customer service and monitor request turnaround and responsiveness
  • Project a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition
  • Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters
  • Enforce community policies as delegated by the immediate supervisor
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and perform all on‑site software functions; basic computer skills required
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to move around, communicate with others, and repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers
  • Frequently required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and step stools; remain stationary, stand, or sit for prolonged periods
  • Occasionally required to work in tight or confined spaces, overhead positions, and reach or manipulate objects up to 25 lbs. in all directions; operate machinery, power tools, vehicles, or golf carts; work overtime, weekends, night hours (emergencies); work in extreme temperatures, outdoor precipitation, wind; be exposed to hazardous chemicals; traverse flat and non‑flat terrain
Salary Range

$17.00 per hour to $17.30 per hour
