Base pay range
$13.00/hr - $15.00/hr
Position Purpose
The Leasing Consultant will show and lease apartments to prospective residents and assist with lease renewals for existing residents. Courteously and efficiently provide customer service to prospects and existing residents.
Essential Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, emails, and face-to-face visits related to sales and service.
- Greet prospective residents, determine their needs, and present the community and units, communicating features and benefits.
- Qualify residents and ask for the lease.
- Proactively contact and follow up with leads.
- Process applications, complete lease paperwork, and accept rent payments.
- Organize and file lease documents and reports.
- Enter work orders, follow up on completion, and notify maintenance of issues.
- Inspect tour routes and vacancies, ensuring cleanliness and appeal.
- Monitor community facilities and take corrective actions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
- Create urgency through follow-up and closing skills.
- Communicate professionally in writing and verbally.
- Navigate web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
- Work independently and collaboratively.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to work Saturdays.
- Prior experience in a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Constantly on feet and performing activities like typing, grasping, and operation of office equipment.
- Frequent bending, climbing stairs, pushing/pulling, reaching.
- Lifting up to 20 lbs frequently; occasional heavier lifting.
- Good vision, hearing, and speaking abilities.
Working Conditions
Mostly indoors with occasional outdoor activities.
