Job summary

The University of Denver seeks a LEP Specialist to provide academic support to a caseload of students with learning differences. You will meet weekly with each student, assist with planning and organization, and coordinate with families as appropriate.

This part-time, non-benefited role runs 20–25 hours per week from late August through early June, with no guaranteed benefits and limited hours per calendar year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or closely related field.
  • Experience working with students with learning differences in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic learning and development strategies for students with learning differences.
  • Engage in professional development on UDL, executive functioning, time management, and related topics.
  • Collaborate with faculty to ensure equitable access to learning for students with learning differences.
  • Handle administration: notes within 24 hours, data collection, surveys, and scheduling.
  • Support program growth through assessments and coordination of events.
