Job summary

pOpshelf is hiring for a Lead Team Member to support a clean, organized store and deliver a customer-first experience. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock and merchandise, and uphold company standards and safety practices.

As a Lead Team Member, you will take on leadership duties in the Store Team Leader's absence and help drive sales while protecting store assets. This position emphasizes teamwork and community service.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service to exceed the customer’s expectations.
• Model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers and employees.
• Assist in merchandising to create eye-catching displays and drive sales.
• Rotate product to maintain seasonal displays and store appeal.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities to support a great shopping experience.
• Ensure store condense and reset standards are maintained daily.
• Follow policies and procedures as outlined in SOPs and handbooks.
• Operate cash register and scanner, handle payments, bag items, and assist customers.
• Assist customers in self-checkout at multiple registers.
• Clean and stock, open/close the store as directed by supervisors.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of leadership.
