Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier and/or Stocker to support store operations and act as a lead in the absence of management. You will assist with plan-o-gram implementation, customer service, and daily cash handling.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, greeting customers, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Familiarity with cash, safety, and loss prevention policies.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; face shelves and build displays.
• Restock and rotate merchandise; manage restocking of returns.
• Greet customers and assist in locating items.
• Operate cash register, accept payments, and bag purchases.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the front end and stockroom.
• Travel to other store locations for bank deposits and meetings as needed.
